Lent and Easter

The last two years of pandemic have meant that we have been closed, twice, during the run up to Easter. This has been difficult for us as a Christian bookshop and for the local Christian community as Easter is arguably the most important time in the church calendar, and it has been difficult for customers to access Christian resources for this season. This year we are pleased to be open throughout! Already we have books for Lent and Easter available along with Easter cards, Mothering Sunday cards and palm crosses. Our range of books include Lent books suitable for both individual and group study, including titles suitable for children and families. We have Easter titles that explore the meaning of Easter - for example Nicky Gumble's "Why Easter?" and many titles for children in all sorts of formats. Many of these titles are part of our "Take Note" and "Kids Corner" ranges of books, which are all at discounted prices indicated by a sticker on the front. For both of these ranges of books there is a free leaflet that details all the titles, that customers are welcome to take away to browse. Our Easter cards this year are in packs of four or five and are sold in aid of The Leprosy Mission and Compassion. We also have packs of mini cards, individual cards and Easter bookmarks. We will also be stocking the popular "Real Easter Egg" - as usual, we advise you to buy early to avoid disappointment. We look forward to celebrating pancake day on Tuesday March 1st with our special pancake menu for one day only, which includes savoury and sweet options! We look forward to seeing you.
