The Vine reaches 20 year milestone!

On the 1st September 2021 The Vine will be 20 years old! In 2001 The Vine was started in 2001 by manager Sharon Deeming and, with the support of volunteers, staff and trustees it has developed into the lovely book and coffee shop it is today.

We are so grateful to God that The Vine is still serving the Christian and local community after all this time, especially after the last 18 months of lockdowns and restrictions! We are also grateful to our team of volunteers - past and present (some have even been with us from the start!), who we couldn't have managed without and to our excellent landlord - the United Reformed Church for all their support.

From Tuesday 31st September till Friday 3rd September we will be marking this event by decorating the shop and serving free slices of birthday cake to all customers! Do drop in during our opening hours of 10.30am - 2.30pm. If you have had a role with us such as serving as a trustee or volunteer, supporting us through regular donations or have been a regular customer since the early years then we would especially encourage you to drop in and share your memories with us and help us to mark the occasion.
